Cookie Policy
Updated May 12, 2026Summary
Syllabi only sets a small number of cookies, and all of them are either strictly necessary to run the Service or a record of your own preference. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site advertising or tracking technology. Our hosting provider may collect limited cookieless analytics and performance telemetry so we can keep the Service reliable.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Signed-in session for Supabase Auth. Without it you would have to log in on every page. | Strictly necessary | Up to 1 year (rotated on use) |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | Short-lived PKCE token used during the OAuth sign-in flow. | Strictly necessary | A few minutes |
| cookie_consent | Records your choice on the cookie banner so we don't show it again. | Preference | 1 year |
The Supabase cookies are only set after you sign in. The consent cookie is only set after you interact with the banner. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, if active, are treated as limited product/performance telemetry and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Third-party cookies
When you go through checkout or open the “Manage subscription” billing portal, you are redirected to a page on stripe.com (or checkout.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies on that domain for fraud prevention and session management. Those cookies are set by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy, not by us, and are only set when you are on a Stripe-hosted page — they don't follow you back to syllabi.online.
See Stripe's cookie policy for details.
How to control cookies
You can clear cookies and adjust permissions at any time in your browser settings. Note that clearing the Supabase auth cookies will log you out and require you to sign in again, but no functionality will be permanently affected. Links to the cookie settings of common browsers:
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because Syllabi does not run cross-site tracking, this signal makes no practical difference — there is nothing to opt out of.
Changes
If we start using additional cookies or non-essential tracking technologies in the future, we will update this page first and, where required, ask for your consent before activating them.
