Getting Started
Do I need a credit card to try Syllabi?
No. New users get 10,000 free Credits, enough for one Short course, with no credit card required. Just create an account and start generating.
How do I create an account?
Click the Sign In button on the homepage and use Google OAuth — it's the quickest way. You can also sign up with your email address.
What should I type into the course topic field?
Be specific. Instead of "Photography", try "Portrait Photography for Beginners" or "Food Photography for Instagram". A clear topic produces a tighter, more actionable course.
Can I edit my course after generating?
Yes! Open the Course Editor to rewrite titles, edit lesson content, add or remove quiz questions, reorder modules, and delete anything that doesn't fit. Every element is fully editable.
Generating Courses
How long does generation take?
Most courses are ready in 15–30 seconds. Longer courses (30+ lessons) may take up to 60 seconds. If a generation fails, try again — timeouts are rare.
Why does my generation sometimes look different from my last one?
AI generation has some inherent variability — this is by design. Each run produces a fresh, unique course. If you want to explore different structures for the same topic, try generating multiple times.
Can I adjust the number of modules or lessons?
After generation, open the Course Editor to reorder, add, or remove modules. You can also adjust course length before generating (mini, standard, or comprehensive).
What does the 'niche' field do?
It scopes your course to a specific industry or context. For example, 'Data Analysis' + niche 'healthcare' produces a course with healthcare data examples and use cases, rather than generic ones.
Exports
Which export formats are available?
Available exports include JSON, Markdown, PDF, Notion, DOCX, SCORM, and shareable course links where enabled for the generated course. The Notion export copies blocks you can paste directly into any Notion page.
Can I re-export a course I generated earlier?
Yes. All generations are saved to your account. Visit your profile page, find the course, and re-export in any available format.
My PDF looks broken — what should I do?
Try refreshing the page and exporting again. If the issue persists, contact support with your course title and a screenshot of the problem.
Billing & Credits
Are there subscriptions to cancel?
The visible customer flow is Credits-only: no Planner/Premium subscription checkout. Buy Credits once and spend them when generating courses.
What if generation fails?
Failed generations release or refund reserved Credits according to the backend ledger policy. For payment problems, contact support with the Stripe receipt email and account email.
How much do Credits cost?
€5 buys 10,000 Credits. Checkout supports €5 to €100 in €5 steps. Crash costs 5,000 Credits, Short 10,000, Long 25,000, and Masterclass 60,000.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe — we never store your card details. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security.

Which browsers are supported?
Syllabi works in all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best experience.
Is there an API?
A public API is on our roadmap. If you're interested in early access, reach out to us at api@syllabi.online.
Are my generations private?
Yes. Your generated courses are private to your account and not visible to other users or shared publicly.
